Wholesale inquiry QR codes — B2B lead capture by scan

A wholesale inquiry QR code opens a hosted B2B form: company name, contact name and email are required, with optional VAT number, website, estimated volume and a message. QRCode Suite hosts the page, so a buyer at a trade show or a distributor holding your outer case can send a qualified inquiry without an app, an account, or a call. Inquiries land in your Leads inbox and export to CSV. Wholesale Inquiry codes are part of the Business plan.

No store connection and no CRM required — the form stands on its own, which is what makes it printable on a case, a catalogue or a booth panel.

Trade show booths and badges

A code on the booth panel, the counter or a sales sheet lets a buyer submit an inquiry while standing in front of you — instead of taking a card that gets lost in a tote bag by Friday.

Outer cases and shipping cartons

Print the code on the case a retailer already receives. The person unpacking the delivery is often the one who reorders, and the inquiry form is one scan away from their hands.

The fields a B2B inquiry needs

Company name, contact name and email are required. Estimated volume and a free-text message are optional, so a serious buyer can qualify themselves without being interrogated by a long form.

VAT number and website, when you want them

Turn on the extra company fields per code and the form also asks for a VAT number and a website — useful when you need to sort real trade accounts from consumer curiosity.

Store-agnostic by design

Nothing to connect: no store, no plugin, no CRM, no sales platform. That matters for wholesale, where the buyer is rarely in the same system as your retail checkout — and often in no system of yours at all.

An inquiry inbox, not a CRM

Honest scope: inquiries collect in one filterable inbox and export to CSV. There are no pipeline stages, no deal scoring and no sequences — take the CSV into whatever you already sell with.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create a Wholesale Inquiry code

Add a QR code in the dashboard and pick the Wholesale Inquiry type. Write the prompt buyers see above the form and decide whether to ask for VAT number and website.

  2. 2

Print it where buyers already are

Export a print-ready PNG or SVG for booth panels, sales sheets, catalogues, outer cases and pallet labels. One code can cover a whole show, or one code per material to compare them.

  3. 3

The scan opens the hosted form

No app and no account for the buyer. The page is served by QRCode Suite at the code's own address, works with any phone camera, and carries a consent checkbox before anything is stored.

  4. 4

Inquiries land in the Leads inbox

Every submission is stored with its company, contact, email, optional volume and message — timestamped and attributed to the code that produced it, so you can tell the show from the carton.

  5. 5

Export to CSV and follow up

Filter by code and export. The printed code keeps working while you change the prompt or the fields behind it, so next season's catalogue does not need a new code.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to connect a store to use these QR codes?

No. Review, wholesale inquiry and loyalty codes serve a page hosted by QRCode Suite at the code’s own address. There is no store to connect, no plugin to install and no CRM to wire up — which is what lets you print one on a carton or a receipt for a channel you do not control.

Where do the responses go?

Into the Leads inbox in your dashboard. Every submission is timestamped and attributed to the QR code that produced it, so you can filter by code and tell a trade-show scan from a packaging scan. The inbox exports to CSV.

Which plan includes them?

The Business plan. Review Collection, Wholesale Inquiry and Loyalty Reward are Business-tier QR types; the free plan covers dynamic URL codes and a Link Hub.

Can I change the form after the code is printed?

Yes. These are dynamic codes: the printed image points at a redirect you control, so you can reword the prompt, rename the product or reward, or switch the extra fields on and off without reprinting anything.

Is the email address always required?

It depends on the flow. On a review form the email is optional, because a rating and a comment are useful on their own. On a wholesale inquiry and on a loyalty claim it is required — the first needs a reply address, the second trades the reward for a contact.

How is consent handled?

Every hosted form carries an explicit consent checkbox stating that the details are stored so you can get back in touch, and the consent flag is saved with the submission. Scans are recorded with hashed IPs rather than raw addresses, on EU infrastructure.
