Linktree migration step-by-step

Moving from Linktree to a QRCode Suite Link Hub takes about 30 minutes and avoids breaking any existing QR codes. The steps: export your Linktree links, recreate them in a Link Hub, point the profiles you control at the new URL, and switch the URL in your bio. Printed QR codes that already resolve through a QRCode Suite dynamic code keep working — you change the destination, not the code. Link Hubs are hosted at /h/{slug}, with a custom domain available from the Business plan.

  1. 1

    Export your Linktree links

In your Linktree dashboard: Settings → Account → Export. You get a JSON with link titles, URLs, icons, click counts. If you do not have export access on your plan, copy the links manually — the average Linktree user has 8-12.

  2. 2

    Recreate as a Link Hub

QRCode Suite → Link Hubs → New. Add each link as a button block, then use the other eight block types — text, image, social, coupon, newsletter, form, video, divider — where they help. Match Linktree styling roughly: your Link Hub can use brand colours, a header image, and your own typography.

  3. 3

Redirect what you can from your Linktree URL

Linktree does not support adding a redirect to your linktr.ee/yourname URL. Instead, change every external profile (Instagram bio, Twitter, business card) to point to your new Link Hub. The Linktree page becomes a "this page has moved" notice via Linktree settings.

  4. 4

Switch the URL in your bio

Update every bio (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, email signature) to your new Link Hub URL — qrcode-suite.com/h/yourname, or your own domain from the Business plan. Existing QR codes on printed materials that resolve through a QRCode Suite dynamic code keep working — only the destination changes.

Frequently asked questions

What is QRCode Suite?

QRCode Suite is a standalone QR code platform: create a free account and generate branded, dynamic QR codes in the browser — no WordPress required. Connectors bring the same codes to WordPress and WooCommerce, where orders can be attributed to specific QR codes.

Does QRCode Suite work without WordPress?

Yes. QRCode Suite is a standalone SaaS — sign up, create QR codes, and track scans entirely on qrcode-suite.com. The WordPress plugin is an optional connector that brings your codes into wp-admin and adds WooCommerce order attribution.

Does QRCode Suite require a separate subscription?

The Free plan is available at no cost — no credit card required. Paid plans (Pro €9, Business €29, Agency €79 per month) unlock unlimited codes, redirect rules, and more. There is no separate per-scan fee.

What QR code types does QRCode Suite support?

QRCode Suite supports 22 QR code types: Static URL, Dynamic URL, Plain Text, Phone, Email, Location, Link Hub, SMS, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, vCard, Social profile, PDF, File download, App download, Coupon, Calendar event, Lead capture form, Review collection, Wholesale inquiry, Loyalty reward, and Custom payload.

Can I change the destination of a QR code after printing it?

Yes. Dynamic QR codes use a short redirect URL. You can update the destination from your dashboard at any time without generating or reprinting the code.
